Who would write an unofficial one, anyway?
Everything you always have wanted to know about the site... ... While being too afraid to ask
What is this page for? – Click to show
You ended up on quite a strange place, isn't it?
Since I know that websites like this one are now very unusual, you may have a lot
of questions... This page gathers all the ones I was asked about
TheRaphit's Web Site, but also some others I haven't been asked yet,
thinking answers might be of your interest! :-) On this page you'll learn everything
you need to know, all of this enhanced by illustrations from the site, with
the aim of making the text less austere and more appealing!
In order to keep this thing readable, answers will show up upon clicking a
question. Yes, sometimes I do something smart.

Website history and purpose (there's one?!)
Everything you want to know regarding TheRaphit's Web Site, its history, and what
it's all about.
What is this sh** actually?
TheRaphit's Web Site is a true personal site, also called a homepage.
That means it's ran by a unique individual - as you may have guessed: myself -
on their free time, as a hobby, without any money-making purpose while
being totally independant.
In short: a place on the Web where I'm publishing whatever I want,
what interests me, whenever I've got some free time to do so.
Millions of homepages were online back in the early days of the Web, when the largest
sites in the world were dedicated to provide hosting space to individuals. That was
a great era - the good'ol'times as I call it - when everyone could express
their creativity and share their passions... While staying anonymous. The only
thing you needed to register was an email address.
However, I was quite dissatisfied with those services. You were allowed to store
just a few megabytes, you couldn't control whether an ad would show up
on your pages, and you might face censorship.
That's the reason why I've decided to go on with a commercial webhosting subscription...
Yes, just to run my homepage, I was truly passionate. They were actually cheap,
and came with a domain name! In the 1990s, the .net was still reserved
to access providers or global network institutions, and to get one .org
you were asked to provide with your registration documents as a (US) non-profit
organization - leaving the .com as the only unregulated
one available to foreigners.
How old is it and how long has it been online?
I launched this website 29 years ago, on january 16th, 1997.
I was very active during the first years, until I ran out of time to update and
maintain my pages during 1999. Thus, I cancelled my subscription with
my American hosting provider and the site went offline, although I retained the
domain name.
When always-on residential connections to the Internet became widespread, I could
bring the site back online at no addtional cost in 2001... Till 2003, when
a server crash brought the story to an end... Or it did?
In 2025, as I was installing a full set of servers for a non-related project, I thought
that could be fun to revive the site once more! And there we are. Additionaly,
since mid-2025 I have started translating my most popular pages in English.
OK great... But what's the purpose?
TheRaphit's Web Site has a sole purpose: be entertaining!
For you, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here and find what you were
looking for, without having to accept cookies for the hundredth time,
or close an advertising pop-up banner every tenth of a second.
I'm also trying to provide useful perks for free, such as my
Reddit proxy or my webcounter service which is,
without boasting, unique on the Internet.
Free counters for your website - no registration needed, available instantly!
For me, it's hilarious every day to ridicule all those "politically correct"
activists who would like the Internet to become flat and bland. It's the global
network of our planet, and Earth isn't flat!
Don't let flatness invade your life... Especially when it comes to girls.
Your computer screen is the only thing that should be allowed to be flat!
How is this operated? (for the most curious ones)
This section is dedicated to all of the computer hobbyists, the ones being called
nerds by some... But I'm sorry to tell those dudes that creating a colorful
PowerPoint presentation isn't running a project. At some point,
they'll need those "filthy operators" they despise to build up racks, mount the servers
in them, and install and setup the software.
Where is the server hosted?
The machine is physically located in Switzerland. The country that holds
a reputation for being boring. But actually...
There's no censorship issues in this country, as the Swiss federal government
almost don't care about what's happening on the global network. Those people are
sensible, they know having an obsession with regulating the Internet isn't sane.
Worldwide connectivity is provided by some handsome nice_guys™
who enjoy a lot what I am doing. How can I ask for more?
What software do you use?
The machine runs on FreeBSD. I've been working with this OS for dozens of years,
and although I know it lies behind Linux nowadays, I appreciate some features of this
system, which is way closer to the original UNIX than any modern Linux distribution.
The HTTP(S) server software is Lighttpd. While being less used today than
back in the 2010s when it was very popular, it is still known for being fast
and very memory-efficient when delivering static content. NGINX may be better,
but is also heavier... After all, I'm just running a personal website.
And if you're wondering about my HTML writing tool... I am, of course, doing everything
with Vim !
The only thing I can say about this is: what else?
But who is this Nunakeau??
The canonical name of my machine, the one you can see as the reverse DNS
name of its IP address, is nunakeau.noellys.net. You may find this
name somewhere within my HTML code, on some image-description tags.
That's also "non-officially" the name of the site's mascot,
this nice boobed and dark-short haired girl you see illustrating some
pages, including the one you're reading right now.
She doesn't really have a name, but you can refer to her with the same
one as the server.
Everything about the funny content... Or not (it depends on the day)
This site is unconventional for sure... Pages haven't been written by a herd
of homo journalisticus trained to Newspeak and working
under the watchful eye of the Thought Police. In case you were
wondering about "TheRaphit's touch" (as I call it) and my particular style,
answers are just below!
Were these pages generated by an hallucinating chatbot?
That's a legit question to ask, as so much websites are fully AI-generated,
a phenomenon we now call "slop". But here, that's a no. I'm not using IdiotGPT
(or any other similar tool) to write my pages. Everything is certified by myself
as "written by a human" (also myself).
On the other hand, some illustrations and especially the ones with the mascot
were generated by a Stable Diffusion model I ran on another server of mine.
Should you be interested in learning how this works, I've written a dedicated page
about it on my other website.
I'm using an uncensored
AI model to generate my images.
Some other cliparts come directly from the Internet. So there's now a high probability
they were also AI-generated. However, all the afterwork on images is still done
by myself and that include retouching the ones that came from my model.
For instance, to produce the cover image for this FAQ (visible on site's
welcome page) I didn't add another layer of AI.
Pixels around the girl were fully ereased by hand, before including her on the
alternate background with the question marks, still by hand using various
image editing software.
Another example is this page' main illustration. At first, I wasn't satisfied as
the scene visible through the window lacked coherence. I also lightly changed
girl's hands. Even though it's still not perfect, I fixed most issues. To sum up,
using third-party images - AI-generated or not - isn't harming my content,
as far as I know.
Do you need a new website or SEO services?
No I don't.
That's certainly the most asked question. I can't go a week without receiving
an email from India or another pradesh-style country, asking me if I need to redesign
my site or want to be ranked first on Google.
And by acting this way, these guys come across as completely unprofessional.
A competent person doesn't need to throw messages randomly to do business.
I've got people visiting my site everyday without having to post
on a bloody social network or to send bulk email. And anyone with
a few functionning braincells knows the gaping security hole WordPress is.
When will new pages in English be published?
As you may have figured, this website is mainly targeting a french-speaking audience.
But I've started to translate in English some pages, just because I thought some of
them may be of a use to everyone.
I'm doing this little by little, when I've some extra time to spend. During the
following months, I'd like to translate my tmux guide and the full set of pages
I've written about UTM, a bare metal virtualization app for macOS.
Meanwhile, you may visit those guides (in French) by clicking on the thumbnails.
These ones are quite popular, and may be also of a good interest to everyone!
Isn't there too much boobs here?
No. There's nothing such as "too much boobs". We can never have enough of boobs!
Boobs are life. Book a girl with D-cup naturals, you won't get disappointed.
Guaranteed.
If you meant by this question
"your website doesn't look family friendly, am I right?" then
the answer is definitely yes. That's not even a matter of age, as nowadays
there's plenty of daddies who can get offended by almost everything.
Ahhhh, that's why the world has become so boring...
Honestly, what's the point about writing 10,000 warnings or 20,000 silly disclamers
just to say "beware! Titties may attack"? Boobs are harmless, and almost everything
you may find in a kitchen is way more dangerous for children than showing them boobs.
TheRaphit's Web Site and all the others (especially the annoying ones)
You are on Crapchat, Faceboom and Instaburn, and yet you've never heard of this site...
Could there be something going on behind the scenes here? No one is truly independent
on the Internet anymore...
Any Twitter/X account related to this site?
I'm not using social media at all. I don't get the point about
posting your everyday life on some huge random platform you don't have any control on.
And despite everything you may have read:
there's still a lot of moderation and censorship on those bloody things.
On the Web, you can easily publish anything you want without having
any permission to ask, as long you've got a server of your own.
If someone pretends to be related to TheRaphit's Web Site on any other
platform but the Web, then it's fake.
Is this some new kind of startup company?
The site isn't linked to any business, whether mine or any other. It's not a revived
dot-com, even if the domain bears this extension.
That means I'm doing this crazy thing on my own, by spending my personal money
while not asking some sponsors to support me nor begging for donations from visitors.
I'm not looking for your subscription, there's no bell to click here, and I'm not
stealing your data. What could I do with it? Who cares about the maiden name
of your grandmother or your dog's color, but data brokers trying to sell their garbage
to other data brokers?
I know that lots of projects on the Web started with a free website that looked
friendly and sincere, and when they gathered enough
page views / unique visitors / high visitor return rate / any other stupid metric,
they opened the floodgates of advertisement until everyone was drowned.
But that's definitely not what I'm planning. That would be
inane drivel and absolute bullshit. That's not the Web I'm trying to bring back.
And to my mind, anyone who publish content on the Internet in order to sell
powdered food should seriously question themselves.
Aren't you afraid the police will show up at your place?
This is a genuine question I was really asked!
Honestly, if some MPs or activists are annoyed to a point they want to send me the police
because I'm allowing my visitors to
bypass their stupid restrictions to access
pornsites while not flooding them with ads (and thus, paying no taxes
preventing the government to steal more and more money from their people), that means
the world has crossed a very low threshold.
Seriously, aren't there drug dealers or terrorists to catch first? And how they plan
to deal with the totally insane ones, doing assaults with knives just because their
"imaginary friend" commanded them to do so?
With so many unsolved issues out there, officials might look smarter if they have
the decency to just ignore me.
Regarding the question about the files available to download here, in the country
where this server is located it's not against the law to share content on the Internet,
as long as you don't receive any money for that.
Am I at risk by downloading something here?
If you're thinking about virus or malwares, let me reassure you: every file I provide
here is safe. That's mostly images, videos or source code archives anyway.
I know that everything being available for free on my site can be scary, especially
since I don't display any ads, letting you think there must be some kind of hidden
intentions or purpose... But that's not the case.
I don't use my content either to spy on people or whatever. If you rename one of
my files after downloading, there's no way to figure where it came from.
There's no markers, signature or tracers. Feel free to verify,
as nothing is encrypted.
By the way, if you reside in a country that prohibits certain types of content,
of course I cannot guarantee you'll be safe. In case of doubt, let me tell
you that my website is Tor friendly. If you download the official
Tor Browser,
you can visit my site and download my files without risk of being spied on
by your country's authorities.
That's really shameful, but just holding files can make you an outlaw
in most places, even if you keep everything for you... You aren't infringing on
anyone's freedom by doing this, which should be the only limit to your own.
This 21st century has just lost its mind.
Since January 17th, 2026 visitors wondered what the f*** could be this website...
As any FAQ on the Web, this one might be enriched by answers to your questions.
So if you've got one... Dare to ask by
sending an email to me!
TheRaphit's Web Site - The last homepage on the Web
This is my personal website, which I opened in 1997. Since then, I've been
fighting censorship and political correctness to provide you with content that
"some people" don't want to see available for free on the Internet...
Here, I'm trying to revieve the good'ol'times, when the Web
was fresh and really entertaining!
